Growing Up Revuelta: Castro’s Daughter To Speak In Connecticut
25 October 2007, 12:50 PM. By Guanabee Staff

Cubans: If you think you have it rough being exiled at the hands of a fascist dictator, think again. At least he isn’t your dad. That’s the plight of Alina Fernández Revuelta, daughter of Fidel Castro and Cuban exile who penned the book, Castro’s Daughter: An Exile’s Memoir of Cuba in 1998 after fleeing the country with her daughter in 1993 for fear of their safety. (Everybody’s got a tell-all.) Fernández Revuelta is the product of an affair between El Commandante and his comrade Nina Revuelta. Born in 1956, she was a model and public relations director before she left the country. She now lives in Miami where she has her own radio show that frequently criticizes papi. She’ll be speaking to the kids at Central Connecticut State University on Tuesday and we can’t wait to get our books signed and ask her if his beard tickles.

Calling Dr. Freud, Dr. Sigmund Freud…
Allow me to be earnest, just for a sec. It might help with the political humor problems this blog constantly runs up against.
Note to eds.: Please get your categories right. Fidel may be totalitarian dictator in a quasi-Stalinist vein (though that’s way arguable…given that the party he’s in charge of also runs the state), but he’s far from being a fascist.
That term would be better reserved to the wacky and coked-out caudillos with moustaches, aviator sunglasses, and serious violent streaks who conducted genocidal campaigns the U.S. supported in Central and South America from the 60s to the 80s. You know, like Pinochet.
O.K. time to get my gold lame chones out of their bunch.
@ Pocho
Pero, que que?! I’m sorry but can you make sense or can you break it down for me whatever the hell you just said?!
chacho meng, pero que to crees?! Que behind Guanabee esta Jorge Ramos, escribiendo las opiniones politicas? It’s a fucking blog dude. And it makes my day everytime I read it.
So get off your high caballito con tu ” It might help with the political humor problems this blog constantly runs up against.”
Dios mio pero throw me fuckin bone meng. JA
Little piece by Christopher Hitchens ( I Corazon him!) about fascism

@gatita: Sorry to spoil your day. The political humor problems I refer have to do not so much with anything written by guanabee (which are pretty funny), but with how a number of folks really despise the blog’s implied politics. Hugo and Fidel are pretty easy game. Goes down the gullet easy.
I love this blog, don’t get me wrong, gatita. Pero uy, there have to be some equally stupid right wingers to make fun of, G’bee. Like “this guy.”:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_P%C3%A9rez_Molina
Bring the acid on these guys, please.
My point was this, like drugs, you gotta know the politics you’re toying around with. Or you can suffer terrible, unintended side effects, like testy commenters who love the blog but have whatever politics they think it has. “Just ask Cory Feldman in the Goonies. (Turn it up loud)”:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5931417721205357674&q=goonies%2C+mouth&total=30&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0
redaction: “…like testy commenters who love the blog but hate whatever politics they think it has.”
okay I see what you’re saying. But when I take my drugs of choice I know what I’m getting myself into, even if it means ending up in Central Park with a bottle of Jack and a tambourine with pink ribbones attached to it. Wepa!
and PTI (para tu informacion) I don’t hate. I love love love. Why do I feel so Chilandrina today?!
