Immigrants have a myriad of reasons for leaving their home country: lack of jobs, poverty, war, discrimination, George Lopez. Here is one of many reasons we chose to eject from our home countries. Let this be a lesson to you, America.
Culprit: Agave syrup-drenched teeny bopper first-love reconciliation that passes for a national pastime. In Spanish. Need we say more? Yes. Where to start? The fact that Mia looks like she just swallowed a habanero after a 3-day bender. Also, the fact that Manuel insists on saying that one’s first love is not the last. Excuse us while we vomit our Taco Bell Gorditas…
Why it made us leave our country: 1) The catholic school uniforms reminded us of being forced to wear polyester blends in 97 degree humid weather. It’s no coincidence that catholic girls (Or boys!) in Mexico, or any other Latin American country, want to do nothing but take their clothes off. 2) Impossibly young Manuel is essentially asking for Mia’s hand in marriage. No, they are not of age. 3) Maná-sounding soundtrack. 4) Pervy tongue-kissing scene between barely-legal actors. Vanessa Hudgens’ chocha is one thing, but that’s gross.

I agree, there’s plenty of reasons why some of us left Mexico and yes, some of those reasons involve crappy television, but, am I the only one that thinks this telenovela is from ARGENTINa or URUGUAY??… It’s VERY ignorant to consider everything south of the border to be Mexican, but when this mistakes are commited by so called “Latinos” makes me wanna go back to wherever I came from.

Rebelde Way from Argentina is a spinoff from Mexico’s Rebelde. Either way, same thing.
