Happy National Coming Out Day: Is Your Kid Gay?
11 October 2007, 2:10 PM. By Cindy Casares
Today is National Coming Out Day and in observance we turn to this intriguing article from 365Gay “America’s most read gay news” on the website for LOGO, the Gay cable channel no one watches:
Over the past 20 years there have been remarkable advances in LGBT civil rights, but perhaps the most noticeable change has been the number of people publicly identifying as gay.
In the 1980s the average gay came out in college. Today it is in high school, and gay-straight alliances are springing up in high schools across the country.
With your help, we can have kids in nursery school coming out before the decade is up. Do you have a toddler you think is gay? Why not out them here on Guanabee? Extra points for pictures. We love us some gay fingerpainting. We would like to start by saying we think the kid who delivers our paper is gay. You should see the way he artfully misses the gardenias.

That little kid is hil-a-ri-ous. He is such a good dancer. Does anybody know how many people have come out today? Is there some official tally?

Thanks el smartmnky. We are keeping track in our office as well, so far four people have come to the office kitchen and left ‘coming out’ notes on the fridge.
HAPPY NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY!
Here’s a great contribution from two lesbian women to commemorate the National Coming Out Day:
The Ultimate Coming Out - Wow!
You can also go directly to FaithoftheAbomination.com. Their story will be told in a documentary film. I feel this will be groundbreaking for the GLBT community.
