Insects 1, Reggeaton 0: Mosquitoes Declare Entomological Victory Against Half Of Wisin y Yandel
24 October 2007, 6:00 PM. By Carlos Posas
Wisin, the less-hot half of Zune-pushing Wisin y Yandel, had to be rushed from Miami to Puerto Rico after it was discovered that he is quite possibly infected with dengue fever. He’s currently hospitalized in Puerto Rico waiting for a definite diagnosis. Hmm. It’s been a while since Elián The Sequel’s family invited us to Miami, but we’re pretty sure they have hospitals in Florida. Fishy! Anyways, dengue fever, for those of you who did not grow up on the islands, is a debilitating viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes that causes acute fever and pains in the joints. [Ed. Note: Some of us at Guanabee have had our bouts with dengue--two weeks in bed eating platanutres and watching "Cristina"--It was awesome]. Dengue can sometimes be fatal, although not as fatal as reggaeton. While we wish Wisin a quick recovery, it’s nice to know that the smallest of insect brains are smart enough to know when enough is enough.

Clarification please. You said the less hot half, but it’s really impossible to ascertain which one is uglier.
They look like the latino version of a very faboo Pet Shop Boys in that pic…
@Ella. I think they mean the one that looks like his goatee was waxed to look like a porn’s star vagina. That sure is a pretty landing strip.
