MTV Music Video Awards Latin America Has Longest Name Ever, Exports Best Song Award to Canada

Mexican teen star Belinda, whom you might have seen in many a telenovela (or whom you might not admit to having seen in Disney’s “Cheetah Girls 2″), took home last night’s MTV Music Video Latin America awards for Best Video and Best Solo Artist.
The show was hosted by Guanabee’s boyfriend, Diego Luna, in Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes. Fitting, since Mexican artists pretty much rocked that shit, taking home every major award. Singer/ accordian player/ mega hottie Julieta Venegas won for Best Pop Artist, and rock band Mana took the awards for Best Group and Artist of the Year. Again.
The show, which was broadcast on MTV Latin America and the super-edgily named MTV TR3S, included performances by British rockers The Cure and Guanabee’s other boyfriend, Colombian singer Juanes.
Song of the Year went to that pillar of Latina rockitude, Avril Lavigne, for “Girlfriend.” Lavigne and her eyeliner also won for Best International Pop Artist and Most Punk Rawk in Her Suburb. After the ceremony, Lavigne celebrated by joining up with People en Español’s Most Beautiful Latina, Beyonce, for tequila shots and a rousing game of “Uno.”

Ok am I the only one that really hates on mana? I mean, Fer sounds like someone’s tightly squeezing his balls.
Mana is no longer loved in Mexico because they moved out of the country and became too famous and successfull.??? Did you guys hear the boos when they received their award? Just another example of Mexicans hating on their own raza for making it. I think Alejandro Sanz also sounds like somebody is squeezing his huevos and recycles his songs.
