New Bridal Magazine To Prove Marriage Is Still Frightening In Spanish

America’s first Spanish-language bridal magazine is on its way in the form of Bodas USA La Revista, (catchy!) because in addition to getting knocked up, some Latinas do actually marry. Says Hispanic PR Wire:

Bodas USA La Revista™ will hit the newsstands and retail stores on January 2008 throughout California with a cover price of $4.99 and via subscriptions on its website.
“For the first-time brides and grooms to be that are monolingual or that are bilingual will have access to a Spanish-language brides magazine that is relevant to their culture and their language, and that is our motto: Your Wedding, Your Culture, Your Language,” said publisher Lilian de la Torre-Jimenez, a former senior newspaper reporter, editor and magazine writer.

Presumably this means there will be articles on how to reap a bountiful dollar dance and how to stretch that catering when your cousins bring ALL their kids to the reception dinner.

I want to write an article for them called, “Reception Food: The Classy Way to Take Home a Plato.”
