Sean Penn Talks About His Buddy Huey Down South
4 October 2007, 12:00 PM. By Daniel Mauser
You might remember the news about Sean Penn’s visit to Venezuela a few months back, during which the Oscar-winning actor met up with our favorite space-case dictator Huey Chavez and swapped some dirt on foreign affairs, oil price gouging, and what the difference is between being a retard and playing one. In this video clip from Tuesday’s “Late Show With David Letterman,” Penn speaks of his motivation to visit. Namely he says other nut jobs like Pat Robertson and everyone who works at FOX news inspired him. But what caught our eye was his delectably smug humor that transfixed us, frightened us, and consequentially made us realize we have a damn man-crush. Well, he is the reason we listen to Django Reinhardt, after all.

What Penn?
Chavez IS nuts. Mussolini did all sorts of good things too, that doesn’t take away the fact that he was completely deranged….
Sean Penn is a moron or at the very least, naive. Trips where you fraternize with leaders who are, whether fairly or not, outspoken enemies of the U.S. makes you look poorly and some would argue even traitorous. Disagree all you want with Bush, it is your right, but don’t sell your country out.
Agreed. Since when does hating GW Bush mean you have to go hang out with loonies like Chavez? There is a middle ground and Sean Penn will be far less tiresome when he finds it.
