TMZ.com Posts In Spanish About Menudo To The Hateful Dismay Of Its Readers

tmz_logo_10-16-07.gif

Gossip site TMZ wrote a post yesterday in one-semester Spanish about Making Menudo, the reality show about the boy-band that launched a million pimples. The post said that the reality show has finished recording and that the new group is already in the studio recording an album. We already reviewed their new vowel-friendly song “Más Que Amor (A E I O U)”, which kinda sounds like a squirrel choking on a piece of Kit-Kat, but we digress. Based on the flame wars that ensued in the comments section of their post, we can safely deduct that TMZ readers are a bit Spanish averse:

Another example of TMZ pandering to ILLEGAL ALIENS….I’m done coming here…..I only go to ENGLISH ONLY sites.

Nice.

Take this crap south of the border please! You don’t know where you live…….

Pithy!

Please, this is not Mexico…..we don’t need to read it in Spanish!

Again with the Mexihate. To which a brilliant commenter had to say:

VIVA MÉXICO CABRONESSS

Say what you will about Latinos, but they always come through.

Carajo! If I weren’t so averse to getting into it: I think the flame war should continue by having commenters post links to Guanabee on the TMZ comment board.

Or at least someone should mention that most of these posts are currently the object of simultaneous mockery and horror at this site.

I guess you have to consider who reads these things for their gossip, and not to find interesting things to write about.

En serio, quien lee sitios de aol para entretenerse?

So, wait, people who are reading about a reality show called Making Menudo are mad about the Spanish language being used? Menudo as in a the Puerto Rican boy band? A Puerto Rican boy band named after a traditional Mexican or Ecuadorian (according to wiki) soup? Wierd.

I read AOL news comments for fun. Only the ones about Latinos and gays, though. They make me proud to be an American…

i can’t wait to watch this shit; sadly, no Boom Boom Laurie. technically, the show was produced for MTV Tr3s but it’s being shown on MTV because they have no frigging content other than rerunning most of viacom’s properties. then again, the appeal of their reality shows goes along class and ethnic lines: Making the Band (gays and east coast african-americans), The Hills (gays and white girls and most of the island of manhattan), Real World (gays and stoner college students).
i predict a gossip girl marathon in a month.

el smrtmnky…um…you’re a little late…they already did the gossip girl marathon 2 days ago.
