We've been scouring the web to find out what people are saying about the recent announcement that Telemundo anchor Mirthala Salinas is not returning to the network. Fortunately for us, a lot of people are still enamored enough with Mayorgate to spill their little hearts out on comment sections across the net. From the blogosphere:
• The folks at Flap are speculating on how much moola Mirthala recieved as an agreement to quit because after Villaraigosa's wife wipes him out, they'll both be needing the money.
• Mr Wave Theory's a bit ticked because they weren't the lucky ones to sleep with the mayor. [Ed.Note: Ewwww.]
More after the jump.

From the LA Times comments section:
• A contributer named "AA" revels in mysticism:
"What goes around comes around! She has a habit of sleeping with married men and Karma has finally caught up to her!"Yes, sleeping in a mansion with a high-profile politician will teach her. • A commenter named "Michael" weighs in on the ethical bending in the case:
The problem is that he had an affair with a journalist covering him, which is a clear and unambiguous ethical lapse for both of them. This disregard for basic professional ethics is a public matter. I think Salinas can and should be allowed to rehabilitate her career, just not anywhere in Southern California. The mayor should face some sort of sanction for the ethical violation.Looks like they'll be marinating in Southern California for the time being so Mirthala will have to venture out for work with her "Scarlett letter" intact. Wait, aren't we hiring? • And "Kerry" thinks you should just shut the door and let them hump already:
These types of situations happen ALL the time--It is just not always in the public eye. I am sure they both agonized over the situation they found themselves in by falling for each when they shouldn't have. I don't think Salinas Career should be over because she fell for the wrong guy! Many women are told lies by married men and find themselves in a relationship that they shouldn't be in. "We are getting a divorce, we sleep in separate rooms, we are just together for the kids until they graduate, it is plutonic, we haven't had sex in years", the list could go on! Give her a break. We don't know the story..and we shouldn't!Someone just revealed they have some skeletons in their closet, Kerry. We'd love to know what you think because without your comments we're just another awesome blog without comments. Earlier: Mirthala Won't Be Covering Cacti, Decides To Quit Telemundo
