Update: Mirthala Salinas Won’t Be Covering Cacti, Decides To Quit Telemundo

The once sensational drama that was Mayorgate is rapidly turning into an icky broth of yesterday’s news. Mirthala Salinas has officially quit her position from Telemundo after not arriving to her new job as a field reporter in Riverside, California. It seems she wasn’t too thrilled about her rapid dissent descent from reporting Los Angeles luster to reassignment in the desert. We couldn’t help but wonder if the decision was reached solely by her, or if it was a collaborated effort– between her and her boy toy– with the intentions to evade the spotlight so they can shag in private and live happily ever after. Unsurprisingly, Villaraigosa had few words:
“I don’t have any knowledge about that,” he said in an interview. “I just couldn’t tell you anything. I wouldn’t have any information.” The two are still seeing one another, according to a source familiar with their relationship.
So we guess she’s not much of a talker in bed.
