"English Only" Policy Inspires Some Moran To Sue Employer For Discrimination

A group of Spanish-speaking workers have filed a discrimination suit against their workplace, G&C industries, after their employer implemented an “English only” policy at work. Andres Moran, one of the workers, gives us a lesson in geography:

According to the policy, workers could only speak English during their work hours. Moran and his co-workers, legal immigrants from Honduras and Mexico, were shocked.
“The whole Spanish people that worked there, we went and started talking to the managers, and why did they do that? For what reasons? We felt like we were being discriminated. We weren’t doing anything bad,” Moran said.

Bueno, Andresito… We mean. Well, Andrew: Spanish people usually come from Spain, not Mexico or Honduras. Here at Guanabee headquarters, we get in touch with our Latino roots by speaking exclusively in Latin. And body language.
