Fox Commenter Rod Wheeler Is An Equal-Opportunity Racist

Remember the “Chandler Rapist?” Of course you do. Well, Mayra Nieves, VP of programming for New Radio Venture in Arizona, appeared on Fox’s “Hannity and Colmes” to discuss the futility of using the term “Hispanic” in trying to identify a criminal - or anyone, really. Commenter Rod Wheeler, a former homicide detective, was on hand to shout a whole lot and to make sure he got to offend as many people as possible: Hispanics, Chinese people, and black Jamaicans.

This man is stressing us out. Someone kindly pass a joint our way while we slather some more cocoa butter on our almond skin, please.

Oh, Rod. I’ll bet you were steaming mad when “Kramer” shouted the n-word on stage. Now you go and do something stupid like that. You dipshit.

What about those who have been here for two or three generations and don’t have an accent at all? Shit, they might not even speak Spanish!

My dad is dark skinned and tall, while my mom (and the rest of her family) is light skinned, short, with brown to blonde hair and eyes that range from brown to blue. Did I mention that both families are from the same region of Mexico?

According to what Wheeler implies, he’d most likely look for my dad because of his dark skin.

    I despise these clips. Gah.

God I hate white people (well, and Rod). What a flaming idiot. And I don’t even know why Hannity still is on TV. That ninja can’t talk or argue worth shit.

And yeah, don’t diss my girl Mayra. Big ups. She was, waaah, soo good!

I just wanted point out that by making blanket statements like “I hate white people” you are making a very similar generalization to the one made by the misinformed guest on the show, implying that all white people (who could, as Mayra points out, very well be Hispanic or African or a great many other ethnicities) think alike regarding issues of race and ethnicity. Making generalizations of attitude based on race (or ethnicity) only lead to misunderstanding and ignorance which in turn breed hatred. It is obvious that the discussion of race and ethnicity in this country must be improved, but comments like yours, aside from reinforcing the need for this improvement, serve only as barriers to much-needed progress.

So next time: “God I hate ignorant news anchors and so-called experts who fail to understand the difference between race and ethnicity and insist on perpetuating societal stereotypes and racism”

wtf was that? “Not a chinese male w/ his eyes like this..”- Man, guanabee is rt. pass the ganja-lol.
Anyway, that suspect looks black & there are hispanic/latin people that look Caucasian, Black, Asian, Native American and so on… so Mr. Rod Wheeler is only perpetuating a stereotype.
An example: let’s say Christina Aguilera, Cameron Diaz, Frankie Muniz, Fergie, Alex Rodriguez, Louis C.K. or whatever other person of Hispanic descent is being described you would have to pretty much give a more accurate description, because they don’t fit into Mr. Wheeler’s stereotypical racial profile!

btw, kidding about the “ganja” or however u say it- I’m just going along w/ the theme (Mr. Wheeler mentioned that word.) Anyway, those of us that don’t fit into Mr. Wheeler’s racial profile- like having almond skin (sounds yummy-lol) or don’t have an accent- are pretty much lost as latinos? I agree w/ 1st poster E.
