If You’re Going To Tijuana To Score Cocaine This Weekend, Bring Your BB Gun
28 November 2007, 2:45 PM. By Carlos Posas
Some police officers in Tijuana have had their firearms confiscated due to an investigation and they have showed up for work armed with, get this, slingshots. It gets better, some of the officers are using marbles as ammo. Nothing discourages crime more than a well-slung marble to the buttocks! The confiscated firearms will be tested to see if they are linked to any drug cartel killings as part of a government crackdown on drugs, crime, and police corruption. According to KNBC, Mexican President Felipe Calderón pledges to:
Wage a permanent war against organized crime on Monday, by coordinating more closely with local police and giving all law enforcement officials better training, equipment [Ed. Note: emphasis very much ours] and intelligence.
This has all the trappings of The Alamo 2.0. Can’t wait until Mexican forces whip out their trebuchets.

Unless Goliath is slangin’, the streets of TJ won’t ever be safe.
WTF? Slingshots and marbles?? My 8-year-old nephew has some waterguns and fake grenades they can borrow.
This story is ten months old and the Tijuana police department got their guns back by the end of January. Or at least by August.
So if you’re looking for lift tickets in TJ this weekend, the BB gun might not be the best idea.
