You might think illegal immigrants are the ones stealing your boyfriend’s radio from his car as he leaves it parked outside your building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. And you might be right. But the same isn’t true in Illinois!

Illegal immigrants get blamed for everything: rape, murder, robbery, you name it.

…that night we woke up sweaty and disoriented in the bathtub of a New Mexico motel room wearing nothing but tap shoes and a rosary next to a man with a Virgen de Guadalupe tattoo on his chest.

They are actually quite law-biding, as much as the rest of us, a Sun-Times report reveals.

They account for about 3 percent of the state’s population and an equal percentage of inmates in Cook County jails. Less than 4 percent of adults in Illinois prisons have been identified as illegal immigrants.

That’s pretty good news for immigrants. So good it might be illegal. Why would anyone want to blame the crime in this country’s on illegal immigrants, though?

The perception holds that more illegal immigrants equals more crime. That view is bolstered by lies told by anti-illegal immigrant groups like the Minutemen. They claim 64,000 U.S. citizens have been killed by illegal immigrants since Sept. 11, 2001. That would mean more than half the murders in the United States have been committed by illegal immigrants.

Probably more like 64,000 illegal immigrants have died in embarrassment at the way some of the Latinos in this country act. How would anyone know which crimes were committed by illegal immigrants, anyway? Turns out, they actually don’t:

The FBI doesn’t even track the data of offenders or victims based on their citizenship status. The data does show that nearly half of those arrested for murder or non-negligent manslaughter in 2006 were white. Only 1 percent of “criminal aliens” were in jail for murder in 2005, according to the Government Accountability Office.

“Criminal Aliens,” as a matter of fact, was the last thing we remember watching on Pay-per-View before passing out in that New Mexico bathtub.
