“Making Menudo’s” JC: Beautiful Boys Don’t Cry

This week on the second episode of “Making Menudo”, entitled, “Looks Vs. Talent: JC Can’t Get By On Looks Alone,” we learn an important lesson: JC can totally get by on looks alone. Even though he can’t sing or dance and he claims that he’d trade his looks for one ounce of the talent the other guys have, he manages to survive to go on to another round. Turns out talentless beauty is exactly the kind of sound the kids go crazy for these days. Meanwhile some other kid named Dennis from the Lower East Side of New York (represent!) who’s performed onstage with the likes of Elton John at Radio City Music Hall cries his way off the stage as he is dis-missed. Whatever, average looking boy. Next! And Jorge, with the most amazing pipes of all, distracted by the fact that his mom is dying of cancer, is told by manager Johnny Wright that, at a time like this, his mom would want him to sing and dance in Menudo. Awww. Showbiz people. They’re so real.
