Mango, the Spanish retail chain, opened its SoHo location today. Just in time for hordes of crazed shoppers to trample one another whilst they do their holiday shopping:
Spanish cheap-chic chain Mango has really exerted its presence in Soho from the get go. The company decided to cover their 8,000-square-foot store, going in at 561 Broadway, with plywood wrapped in a massive billboard of actress Penelope Cruz (who “designed” a collection for the store). Not too subtle. We have exciting news, though: The plywood finally came down this morning.
We totally popped a shopping boner when we read this. If we hadn’t completely forgotten that Mango was opening in New York, we would have been counting down the days. Probably. Clothes!
