Parody Song About Bunch Of Mexicans Inspires Mass Hispanic

The Ohio Hispanic Coalition is planning to boycott WNCI (97.9 FM) and its advertisers after the radio station aired a parody song entitled “Bunch of Mexicans.” Set to the tune of David Bowie’s “Young Americans,” the song aired on the station’s “Morning Zoo” and includes lyrics likes “It sucks to be a bunch of Mexicans:”

“Enough is enough,” said Jose Mas, chairman of the Ohio Hispanic Coalition. “The same station would not dream of broadcasting something like that about the African-American community, and we are not going to take it either.”

Damn straight! We’re apathetic as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore:

The song, written and performed by Dave Kaelin, half of the Morning Zoo team Dave & Jimmy, was not intended to be racist, [Ed. note: Probs because “Mexican” isn’t a race.] Kaelin said. Instead, it is meant as a satirical look at how Americans benefit from immigrant labor while also complaining about it, he said.
“The premise is we fat lazy Americans are going ‘snap, snap’ to all of these hard-working people who are working hard under the radar,” Kaelin said.

Whoa whoa whoa. Hold up there, Kae-kae. Fat, lazy Americans? What are you… some kind of racist? Additionally, hello. Boycott? We are seriously possibly thinking about considering personcotting your morning show, fella. Also, this sort of thing has been done before, and better.
