William Contreras Ramos, a twenty-year-old native of Puerto Rico, caused a commotion at New York’s John F. Kennedy airport when he took a quick break from boarding his plane to smoke a cigarette and discovered he lost his boarding pass. He then tried to find his way back to the boarding area. In the process, Contreras Ramos opened a door marked “Idiot” and set off an alarm, prompting airport security to evacuate the airport, delaying thousands of passengers. But Contreras Ramos is a Boricua of tenacity and perseverance.

The young man was able to board his Albany-bound plane during the ensuing commotion, making his way on as passengers and airport employees were scrambling to figure out what was going on. Realizing Ramos Contreras had gotten on board while he was already in flight (Damn you Ramos Contreras!), JFK officials alerted Albany’s airport to his arrival. Ramos Contreras was apprehended upon disembarkation, when it was discovered he had been carrying a small pocket knife during his flight. Homeslice is shifty.

When asked for comment, Contreras Ramos flipped his fedora in the air, did a sweet little spin and said he felt his group’s performance went “smooth and well” before dissolving into a puddle of tears.

I love how the guy thought he could get away with it. Although I read somewhere that on a recent test-run that the Homeland Security department did, they were able to smuggle actual explosives past airport security.
