Reggaetonera Ivy Queen Shows Us Her Softer Side; We’d Much Prefer Seeing Her Acrylics Again
27 November 2007, 12:45 PM. By Alex Alvarez
Our BFF, reggaetonera Ivy Queen, is showing us her softer side with a new album and book. It ain’t always all about the acrylics and being dogged by sweaty gangsters on the dance floor, you guys:
“The audience will see that I am a normal woman and my favorite pastime is not sailing on a yacht, but being close to my people,” she said. Queen also said she’s writing a book about her life.
“The title is ‘Detrás del Glamour’ (behind glamour), because people see me but don’t know what I’ve been through,” she said.
Oh. Yeah, sorry, we’d rather read about someone on a yacht. Maybe with a lot of champagne served by sexy male models in loincloths. Someone with style, grace and sophistication. And then that someone vomits because champagne + yachts + mescaline = a bad time. Oh, we forgot to mention. There -was- is also mescaline on this hypothetical yacht. Nevermind.

Fuck, y’all going crazy with the drag queen posts today.
Ha! Isn’t Ivy Queen a real woman? Or could she be the first woman dragqueen? Wait. No, that’s Zsa Zsa Gabor.
actually, mescaline+champagne+yachting can be a great combination if you don’t overdo it.
