“Ugly Betty” Star America Ferrera Is Pretty Good At Winning Awards

“Ugly Betty” star America Ferrera won the Best Actress award at the ninth Family Television Awards, with “Ugly Betty” taking the prize for Best Comedy. America has previously won Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG awards for playing a pretty girl in ugly glasses.
Good job, America. Both for winning the award and giving us something to write about other than women with plastic parts.

Have you guys SEEN that show? so bad it hurts… When oh when there be a GOOD show for/featuring Latin folks? Does anyone else remember that horrific show on PBS a while back that was about a Mexican family in LA? It had that woman from the George Lopez show and Edward James Olmos (I think) who played father and daughter… I tried to watch that shit out of solidarity and I think I even saw every episode but it was unspeakably BAD and unintentionally funny… “Free the rec center!” or some shite like that… embarrassing
