@latinogamer: I agree we, and others, often don’t care. But as latinos, you would think that many would want to have savings, investments, etc so they can take care of family in the future. Isn’t that our reason for being as latinos, FAMILY (or isn’t that what the stereotpe is)? My question is how is a $40,000 truck helping our families?

My guess is that most of us are all about the now. Most of us live life like there is no tomorrow. Sure it is fun now but who knows, or cares for that matter, about next year. Ten years, ni que se diga.

No one cares about education, it is not just latinos, who want to live la vida loca, the fabolous life and so on…we all want to be bling bling and not care who invented the telephone, thats for losers!

This story is actually quite sad. I am never ceased to be amazed at our people’s ability to overspend and buy the most expensive SUV or truck they can barely afford just for “el que dira de la gente”. Here in Washington DC, you see 10 mofos stuffed in an apartment and yet they are sporting $40,000 Toyota 4-runners. Too many of us are overly concerned with displaying material wealth while losing the shirts off your back trying to maintain that lifestyle.

I wonder how much spending among latinos went up on education? Oh, right, no one cares about that.
