The “Latin American Association of Entertainment Journalists” (ALPE) has named Dominican musician Juan Luis Guerra “The Brightest Star of 2007” because he’s a total kiss-ass really friendly with the press:
The organization voiced their praise for the artist – who consistently manages to be successful professionally, socially and within his family – in a press release on Thursday: “Even amidst his insatiable social work efforts, he always took time to maintain a cordial relationship with journalists.”
Precious. Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz, meanwhile, was deemed the worst:
As for the bad news, ALPE named Alejandro Sanz the worst of the year for his aloof manner with the media. The Spanish singer, 39, was rude to the press a few months back while leaving a Miami court, where he was brought an extortion charge against a former employee.
Well, golly, we wonder why he wasn’t in a friendlier type mood? As if journalism even exists. Scoff.
