Baseball Team Renames Their Mascot Because Some Hispanics Might Find The Name “PorkChop” Offensive. We Think It’s Cute! For A Fatass.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs have decided to rename their porcine mascot because some might consider its former name, “PorkChop,” to be a racial slur. What a bunch of whiny fatties!:

PorkChop was a name we liked because it was fun and it was relating to a pig.
But after learning from some in the community that it could be considered offensive … the team decided to switch it up.
Apparently the word is a not-so-commonly used racist term for people of Puerto Rican and Portuguese decent.
Now … the new name is Ferrous. [Ed. note: Sweet pupusa. This is the most convaluted, confusing reporting style we've ever encountered. And we read our own posts.]
We’ve honestly never heard of “PorkChop” as a slur against Puerto Ricans or the Portuguese, mostly because no one ever talks about the Portuguese. Maybe we’ll have to rethink the name of our Frisbee Golf team, The Guanabee Paragraphs. We’re not quite an ese, see. We’re just a paragraph.
