According to a poll (but not a Pole because, seriously, come on) sponsored by New American Media, minorities mistrust and stereotype one another:
The poll found that friction between ethnic and racial groups, which at times has erupted into highly-publicized incidents around the country, is clearly rooted in the mistrust that the groups harbor towards each other, as well as the sentiment that other groups are mistreating them or are detrimental to their own future.
Had we a heart, we would find this news greatly disheartening:
For instance, 44% of Hispanics and 47% of Asians are “generally afraid of African Americans because they are responsible for most of the crime.” Meanwhile, 46% of Hispanics and 52% of African Americans believe “most Asian business owners do not treat them with respect.” And half of African Americans feel threatened by Latin American immigrants because “they are taking jobs, housing and political power away from the Black community.”
Moreover, the three groups seem more trusting of whites than of each other. The poll found that 61% of Hispanics, 54% of Asians and 47% of African Americans would rather do business with whites than members of the other two groups.
We remain consistently apathetic regarding all people, equally. Except anyone who works for American Apparel. Sorry, but you are all skinny and rich and mean. And, frankly, we just can’t trust anyone who thinks terry cloth is an acceptable material to wear to dinner.

I was at a dinner party in Toronto a few years back.
The party was hosted by a group of Mexican business owners who lived in Toronto. After a few drinks, some of the other Mexican guests (and one of the hosts) started making very racist comments about blacks. They also said negative things about Jews. And these were educated people. I almost left the party. Even Vicente Fox is a xenophobe. And some Mexican Americans are just as bad.
Now, any time I see someone being racist to a Mexican, it kind of brings a smile to my face. Pay back is a bitch.
Oh, and Black is beautiful.
