It’s been quite a while since we last heard from Fidel Castro, but he’s making up for lost time by sending us a new autobiography just in time for Superbowl Sunday. And it’s full of useful tips like this:
Fidel Castro wears a beard not because he wants to look like Santa, but so that he saves time — 10 working days a year, according to the calculations of the Cuban Communist.
Heck, why stop there? Stop washing that beard and you could probably save another two weeks.
This and other revealing personal facts fill his upcoming autobiography, “Fidel Castro: My Life,” out by Scribner next month. Editor Colin Robinson chose to keep interviewer Ignacio Ramonet’s “question-and-answer” format, so Castro’s responses on everything from homosexuality to Hemingway, whom he hung out with when the author lived in Cuba, are right off the tape.
Not that there’s any relationship between the two, right Fidel? Heh. Heh. Ewwww.
