Grammys Get “Urban,” We Have No Idea What The Hell This Means

The Grammy Awards have introduced a new category this year, Best Urban Album, which has resulted in many more Latino hip-hop artists garnering nominations:

“Last year’s category was a little strange,” said René (Residente) Pérez, Calle 13’s lead singer, who was nominated both years, and welcomes the urban-only category. “They may have seen that something’s cooking in [the Latin Urban movement].”

Jenkem? Oh, music. Right. Music that is urban.
