Grinch Strikes: Peruvian Children Can No Longer Use Slot Machines

A new project aimed at prohibiting the sale of slot machines to children and adolescents will make Christmas a little more bleak for many young people in Peru:

The president of the Foreign Trade and Tourism Commission, Alda Lazo de Hornung has proposed that establishments with such machines should be fined and the device should be confiscated. She also suggested the establishment be permanently shut down if the incident occurred a second time.
Lazo explained that minors did not have the full legal capacity to make decisions with respect to their civil rights and affirmed that the World Health Organization considered gambling addiction a vice and a psychological illness, grouping it with other mental disorders.

Wow, Foreign Trade and Tourism Committee. What are you going to do next, spit in an orphan’s gruel?

Of a seasick crocodile.”

My ad is for Peruvian Ringtones. PASS!

@rebekah: Google programs the ads to correspond to the content we write about, but also, yes, we’ll take anyone’s money.
