Mexican-born, Argentine-American tattoo artist Kat Von D, who may or may not be the girl crush of one Guanabee editor, has broken the world record for the most tattoos given in a 24 hour period. It’s slowly becoming Tattoo Tuesday around here, it seems:

Much to the chagrin of the LA Police and Fire Departments, Kat was able to generate substantial buzz for this record-setting event. According to her MySpace page, there were over 1,000 people lined up outside her High Voltage Tattoo parlor.

After only 3 breaks, cramped hands, and an uncharacteristic change into sweatpants, Kat crossed the finish line and tattooed 400 people.

This is an awful lot like the description of how we felt after the record we broke. It didn’t involve tattoos.
