Tom Tancredo, the immigrant-hating Denver Congressman running for President who has somehow managed to escape bodily harm from all the Mexicans who live there (WTF—Denver???), officially dropped out of the Presidential race yesterday. As we reported earlier, he finally realized even Americans aren’t xenophobic enough to vote for his Nazi leaning platform. Oh and something about Jesus:
Tom Tancredo said he bowed out just two weeks before the Iowa presidential caucuses because he is determined to advance his cause of halting illegal immigration, but the religion question hanging over the Republican primaries may prove larger than his signature issue.
Would that issue be that you make the little, baby Jesus weep in his manger for your poor, lost soul, Tom Tancredo? While the Congressman is backing former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney henceforth, saying Romney shares his passion for deporting all illegal immigrants, the Romney camp seems, well, a little less crazy:
[A] Romney campaign spokesman told the Washington Post on Thursday, “The governor has stated he doesn’t believe it’s practical to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.”
“Congressman Tancredo ran a spirited campaign focused on issues that are important to many Americans. I thank him for his support,” Romney said in a statement. “While we don’t agree on every issue, we agree on the need to keep America strong. I look forward to working with him and other Republicans to achieve that end.”
But also he’s a Republican so, you know, don’t vote for him, either.
Tancredo passes the torch [Denver Post]

Shame on you guys, calling Trancedo a cross burning Republican. Thank god for him . Its a good thing must of us US citizens can tell the difference between an illegal and legal citizen. It is obvious you dont have a clue what that is.. In case you have not noticed check out our schools, our emergency rooms, our jails. All full of illegals. I can you guys be so blind.
Posted by joe | December 22, 2007
You’re blind. The American people have rejected Tancredo and his racism. That’s why he had to drop out of the presidential election. And now Romney will lose too.
Most people with a brain understand that NAFTA displaced millions of Mexicans forcing them to come to the US to look for work to support themselves and their families. That was the whole point of NAFTA. The movement of goods and labor.
These workers are selling their labor for less than it’s worth and they can’t even get the basic protections that every human being deserves. It’s wrong. And people like Tancredo, instead of offfering solutions, exploit the issue because they think it will offer them career advancement.
Well, it won’t. Demagogues just end up unemployed. Ask Pete Wilson.

It is typical of the left to call people who disagree with open borders racist.Tom Tancredo bailed out because he was a one issue candidate and i commend him for bringing illegal immigration to the fore front..Im myself a legal immigrant and the last time I checked this is a sovereign nation. A nation of laws. Just because they want to support their families, that does not give them the right to enter this country illegally. By the way NAFTA was also signed by the Mexican government and what was the excuse before NAFTA?.
I think you forgot to mention the thosand of illegals currently in our jails. Is this how they support themselves and their families ?.
Bring on the Legal immigrants. We will welcome them with open arms..

Wow, Guanabee. Your readers have no sense of humor.
For criticizing Castro and Chavez you were a bunch of “Right wing nutjobs.” Now you’re “Leftist illegal-lovers.” Funtown!
Posted by Marco | December 23, 2007
I did not call alll people who disgaree with open borders racist. I called Tom Tancredo racist. And you say that he bailed out of the presidential race because he was a one issue candidate. Well that one issue flopped didn’t it?
You say you welcome legal immigrants. Then the solution is simple isn’t it? Legalize them. And then repeal NAFTA. Oh, but then they might have the same rights as everybody else and we can’t have that, can we?
I’m tired of the hypocrisy surrounding this issue. Right-wing conservatives complain about illegal immigrants but they happily eat the food that illegal immigrants plant, pick and process. They don’t mind when they fight in Iraq. The first casualty in this war was an illegal immigrant from Guatemala. Nobody minded when they helped clear the debris at Ground Zero after it got too dangerous for white workers. Nobody complains about the houses they build or the clothes they sew. People let them into their homes to take care of their children.
Illegal immigration is a two way street. They wouldn’t be here if Americans didn’t want them here.

That is why immigration reform went down to defeat. Thank you Tancredo and the rest of us law abiding citizens. Most americans do not favor illegal immigration and you know that. The truth is sometimes a hard pillow to swallow.I like your solution, legalize all the law breakers. By the way all legal citizen have the same right in this country. Im wondering if your crowd is doing anything to address this problem in their native homeland rather than keep demanding from this country. They broke the law, they are a guest in this country..What do you know about NAFTA. That has created more jobs in other countries than here.
Illegals take more than what they provide to this economy. I sense some racism “white workers”. Can you tell me how many illegals were at ground zero? ..When you say Americans, you must be making reference to the Corporate world. The only ones that are benefiting from all of this..I dont want them here..They bring poverty, drugs, gang infested neighborhoods, overcrowded schools, emergency rooms, jails, diceases and the list goes on and on. I would have to agree with you on one thing we do have some Republican politicians that like to have both ways. That is we are are going to be voting them out of office..We will take our country back..
Posted by joe | December 24, 2007
Forgot to mention in my note above,
The only clothes i have seen is made in China not by illegals, The homes they are building are jobs they are taking from “Americans”. Nothing more than union busters. Doing it for less and these are the jobs that according to some “Americans will not do”. Americans will do any of those jobs, if provided a dicent wage. On a recent drive in the midwest, I noticed the people cleaning our room were ‘Americans”, The people serving our food were “Americans” The farmers were “Americans”. I dont know what planet you live in but prior to all the illegals coming in there were “Americans” taking care of this country..Get your legal documents so we know who is coming..

Immigration reform went down to defeat because nobody wants to reform immigration. They want to keep things the way they are. Cheap labor in all sectors of the economy, and a built in wedge issue for the Republican Party that they can use to distract everybody from their failed war.
And were would Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck be without illegal immigration? Their whole careers are based on this issue.
And it’s not just corporations that benefit from undocumented workers. What about all the families who hire them to mow their lawns and raise their children?
You say that NAFTA “it has created more jobs in other countries than here.” NAFTA is the North American Free Trade Agreement. There are only three countries in North America: Canada, the US and Mexico.
Even your defeated hero Tom Tancredo said in the last Republican debate that NAFTA has displaced 20 million Mexican farmers and caused them to come north in search of work.
But instead of campaigning against NAFTA (and globalism) he bashed the victims of NAFTA: hardworking undocumented Latino immigrants who can’t vote.
I am sick and tired of them being demonized just because they have the guts to survive. THey are HUMAN BEINGS.

The Americans that are currently unemployed as the result of illegal workers are also HUMAN BEINGS..
The Americans that suffer as a result of identity theft by illegals are also HUMAN BEINGS.
The Americans that are victims of gang (terrorists)violence are also HUMAN BEINGS..
The Americans that are seeing their neighborhood decay over the years and become fortresses with bar in their windows because of these wonderful people who are only trying to survive are also HUMAN BEINGS..
The poor Americans that can not get free health care while illegals can..They are also HUMAN BEINGS .
The kids of Americans who can not send their kids to a public school because of overcrowding by ILLEGALS are also HUMAN BEINGS..
Its amazing how concerned you are about HUMAN BEINGS of other countries who should have the guts to survive in their own country and forget our own ..
How can anyone support these foreign flag waivers and Che lovers is beyond me.
Lets go after the corporate world who employs them and build the fence..
Posted by Joe | December 24, 2007
Che lovers? OH BROTHER. You probably supported Pinochet.
If you hate illegal immigration, then call your Congressman and demand that they be legalized. Demand that they repeal NAFTA.
Illegal immigrants do not get free health care. What a total lie. Hospitals are required by law to treat ANYBODY who walks into an emergency room. Don’t let the facts get in the way of your argument.
If you care so much about working class people then stop voting Republican. You don’t even know what they really stand for. They are the union busters, dating back to when their hero, Ronald Reagan, fired the air traffic controllers. Republicans are for corporations. They get poor people to vote for them by exploiting religion.
Most people who vote Republican are ignorant of economics and history and don’t even understand the policies they are voting for. They are sheeple.
And yes, American workers are human beings. (I am one.) Nobody is saying otherwise. Nobody is on 24 hour cable calling them “aliens” or scapegoating them for every problem in America.
Other groups were not wanted when they first arrived like the Irish, the Italians, the Germans and nobody got to vote on whether or not to allow them to come here. They government just let them in. Why is it different now?
You just hate poor brown people, the people who are native to North America, the people whose ancestors gave the world corn and chocolate. If these people had light skin they would be given citizenship without even having to work for it. But instead they work, pay taxes and even fight in the nation’s wars and they still don’t get basic protections.
Like I said, you probably like that butcher Pinochet.

First all when I make reference to illegal aliens, i mean anyone who is white, black, brown, yellow.I dont look at color like you..Thats right these ungrateful law breakers and criminals that come to this country receive free education and medical care steal our identities and have the nerves to demand amnesty. I as an immigrant had to wait my turn in line and they should do the same..You may want to do some research and see how Mexicans treat their illegals, ‘Like dogs”. My other hero Ronald Reagan a true conservative had it right with the exception of the amnesty. Im surprise you are bashing Republicans, they were the ones who gave you and tried to give you amnesty again..
By the way you are not allowed to serve in the the military, unless you provide false documentation which was the case of the Guatemalan that volunteered and was killed in Irak.
I knew the word racist will come in to play sooner or later.
I love poor brown, black, white, yellow LEGAL immigrants THOSE THAT BELIEVE IN OUR RULE OF LAW..
Those Irish, Italians, Germans that came thru Ellis island were all identified, checked for diseases and in some cases sent back. The illegals of today come to destroy this country to demand rights. May be you can support them..
Good for the voters in Arizona who fought against illegals and won..Keep up the fight Tancredo, Duncan Hunter, Minuteman. We will take our country back one state at a time..

To put it all in a nutshell..
Here is some kryptonite for you illegal lovers..
The truth if we had secured our borders..
We wouldn’t suffer 25 American deaths daily to illegal aliens who kill 13 of us on our own highways and another 12 deaths from gun and knife violence. (Source: Government Accounting Office, 2005)
We wouldn’t have 16,000 new cases of tuberculosis, 7,000 cases of leprosy, countless thousands of cases of hepatitis, Dengue Fever, Chagas Disease, new AIDS cases and thousands of other disease cases thrust upon the American taxpayer. (Source: New York Times, MJ News)
We wouldn’t be paying $1.75 billion annually for anchor babies, and worse, we wouldn’t be paying $2.45 billion K-12 annually educating those babies—while our schools devolve into dumb and dumber.
American workers would be paid American wages at Tyson Chicken, Hormel, Wal-Mart, fast food shops, construction, roofers, landscape and every job Americans have always done for a living wage.
We wouldn’t have 618,000 convicted criminal alien felons in our state and federal prisons at an annual cost of $1.6 billion to us. That’s after each of those felon committed a deadly crime on an American citizen.
We wouldn’t have hundreds of thousands of illegals committing car thefts, insurance fraud, driving while drunk and no license, and ID theft.
We wouldn’t have 11,000 MS-13 gang members operating in 33 states as they distribute $100 billion in drugs to our children.
We wouldn’t have $60 billion in cash being transferred out of our country annually.
We wouldn’t have Muslim terrorist cells so easily imbedding themselves into our country for the next attack.
Our schools could teach our kids in English and not suffer millions of alien kids that cause such consequences as in Denver, Colorado with a 67 percent flunk out/ drop out rate in their high schools.
We wouldn’t have the Mexican flag being marched around our streets as if it’s the dominant flag in our country by disloyal and subversive illegal aliens who have no right to be here in the first place.
Contracting firms and other big employers couldn’t cheat, lie, steal and hire illegals for one benefit only: obscene amounts of money.
Thousands of towns like Hazelton, Pennsylvania with Mayor Lou Barletta wouldn’t have to be making laws against illegals to protect his citizens.
We would enjoy our U.S. Constitution and the rule of law in a pretty darn excellent constitutional republic that is respected and honored by all its legal CITIZENS.

Yeah right. That’s why you’re posting this on a Hispanic website and that’s why you called them all Che lovers…
Secondly, nobody gave me amnesty. lolol My family was in Texas before it was a state. I’m not an immigrant like you. And I read that some conservatives want to cut off benefits and rights for legal immigrants too. That would serve you right.
You’re lucky enough to be a newcomer to America and here you are bashing it.
I know your type. You’re a newcomer and you hate getting lumped in with all the illegal immigrants. You think if they were all gone that things would be easier for you. Every wave of Hispanic immigrants believes that.
Wake up. This issue is about globalism and the world economy. Ecomomists call illegal immigrants “components of the global supply chain.” People are making billions of dollars off of their labor. Even Lou Dobbs is getting rich from it. Nobody had even heard of him until he started bashing Mexicans.
They have no intention of stopping it unless there is an ecomomic slowdown and their labor is no longer needed. That happened during the Great Depression.
Stop taking out your problems on people who are less fortunate than you. The root of the problem is NAFTA and globalism. Not the people who are being exploited because of it.
The immigrants need to be LEGALIZED.

Typical Liberal living in DENIAL..
What about my response above? Keep ignoring the facts why dont you..You need to get out of your bubble once in a while..
That is correct che lovers, or maybe you dont know who che is but if you paid any attention during the May 1st demostrations by the law breakers a few pictures of this criminal responsible for the death of thousand of people. Next time you leave your bubble and visit wonderful Mejico try stoping by their stores and see pictures of che everywhere..
When they had the May 1st demostrations here in mexifornia and a day without a mexican reminded me of the good old days..No traffic, uncrowded classrooms..Lets try this for several years..
You are correct when you said Im lucky to be here. Im not only lucky but proud to be an American citizen. The greatest country on earth….But I had to wait my turn in line and came LEGALLY.
Who is bashing this country?.Stop the lies.
I have reside in this country for over 50 years so i dont consider myself a newcomer..
Im proud of my Hispanic heritage and can make a distinction between legal and illegal.Apparently you cant..
From yourcomments do have have a lot in common with my heroes Lou Dobbs (against NAFTA, Globalization) and Ronald Reagan (ammnesty for 6million illegals)..I bet you would like Mc Cain, Graham, Martinez and Guliani..
Two questions?
Should we let all of the less fortunate in this world into the US or mexicans only?
What happened prior to NAFTA when they were coming by the thousands?
LETS SECURE OUR BORDERS AND BUILD THE FENCE …CITIZENSHIP IS A PREVILEGE NOT A RIGHT GIVEN TO LAW BREAKERS..

Lou Dobbs bashes Mexicans and his wife is Mexican. What a nut. And if he is against NAFTA then he should tell the truth about it. In my opinion, he’s a con man, and appeals to people who don’t know anything about economics or history.
And look at the other Mexican basher Mitt Romney. His family is from Mexico! These Republicans are screwed up!
“Mitt Romney’s father George was born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1907, the son of Gaskell Romney and Anna Amelia Pratt. Three generations of Romneys lived in Mexico because Miles Park Romney, a polygamist, moved the family there in 1884 as it became increasingly clear that the U.S. government would not tolerate polygamy in the Utah Territory. The 1882 Edmunds Act stripped polygamists of the basic rights of U.S. citizenship, denying them the right to vote, serve on juries or hold office. Not dissimilar to current immigration raids, U.S. federal agents hunted and arrested polygamists. Polygamists were forced to leave the country or risk jail.
Miles chose to leave the country, bringing his multiple wives and children with him across the southern border. In his 1902 book The Story of the Mormons, author William Alexander Linn states that the “Secretario de Fomento of Mexico” related that “The laws of this country [Mexico] do not permit polygamy,” and that the contracts for the establishment of Mormon colonies in Mexico required the same. If true, Miles Romney then knowingly arrived in direct violation of Mexican immigration law.
Utah became a state in 1896, only after laws were passed there prohibiting polygamy. While polygamy may have been illegal in both countries, the Romneys still found Mexico more to their liking. All four of George’s grandparents would live out their days in Mexico, with Anna’s mother Dorsey being the last to die — in Chihuahua in 1929.
Gaskell and Anna (who were monogamous) were married in 1895, and according to George’s biographer Tom Mahoney, lived in Chihuahua until the height of the Mexican Revolution in 1912. Relative Junius Romney negotiated with rebel leaders to get women and children out of the colony for their safety. Anna, with Mitt’s father George in tow, fled across the U.S. border by train (with no apparent delay or search at the border). A short time later Gaskell, like many Mexican immigrants before and since, covered hundreds of miles under a hot sun, crossing by land into New Mexico.
As a Mexican born immigrant, George would do quite honorably, becoming Governor of Michigan and running for the Republican nomination for President in 1968. His support for civil rights and opposition to the Vietnam War resulted in his loss to Richard Nixon. His son Mitt is of course where this post began.”

WOW, Im imppresed.. Allow me to make some corections..and now I see how the illegal alien crowd passes on misinformation and creates class warfare..Good Job
Lou Dobbs bashes ILLEGALS of all nationalities.
Lou Dobbs is against NAFTA and globalization..Check out Wikepedia. You used it for your note on Romney..Lets be honest.
Lou Dobbs wife is an AMERICAN of mexican ancesry..Let me repeat myself BORN in the USA just like the song..
Mitt Romney was BORN in the USA and bashes ILLEGALS of all nationalities..
Another misconception..Just because you have Hispanic roots you have to be supportive of the ILLEGALS just so you can get their vote .
There are miilions like us who are against ILLEGAL immigration.. We were part of the reason why the AMNESTY bill failed in congress..You know that..REMEMBER DENIAL. DENIAL, DENIAL
Come join us at the border to stop the INVASION just like Cesar Chavez did earlier..Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can YOU do for your country..You get the drift…AMERICA first..
Should we allow all the poor and less fortunate of the world or just mexicans???????Show your hyprocracy..Happy New Year..
