A new study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that being circumcised has no impact on whether or not American Blacks and (and/or?) Latinos become infected with AIDS:
Black and Latino men were just as likely to become infected with the AIDS virus whether they were circumcised or not, Greg Millett of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found.
That’s bris, baby:
The data has been so clear that the World Health Organization now recommends circumcision as one of the ways to prevent HIV infection. But circumcision does not protect men 100 percent — the studies in Africa have suggested it is 50 to 60 percent protective.
Millett’s team studied 1,079 black and 957 Latino bisexual and homosexual men from New York City, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. They filled out a computer survey and were tested for the AIDS virus.
“Overall, we found no association between circumcision status and HIV infection status among black or Latino (men who have sex with men),” said Millett, who presented his findings to the CDC’s National HIV Prevention Conference in Atlanta.
Is the data different for White people or Asians? Do they have super-impermeable foreskins or something? Odd. So, hey. Readers, we care about you. Whether your turtleneck is mock or not, please use condoms and get tested regularly. Thank you. The More You Know…

I always go to Housing Works on Crosby St. and get free condoms because I’m a horn dog and like to do it all the time but condoms always cost so much if you buy them at the store and I’m hot. Where’s Rebekah?

I know which Housing Works you are talking about: those condoms are recycled.

How does the study make no difference for black guys too? I thought they did the study in Africa? Did they just study all the whites who colonized the countries o que? What the hell.

the more you whore… (shooting wad)
there are tons of studies and not one of them is conclusive.
every year there will be on saying that those with foreskin are in danger and then shortly there after another one will come along to say that it makes no difference. for example, WHO released a study in july. saying that circumcision would prevent it.

Of course it doesn’t go by ethnicity! There’s a host of studies showing circumcision doesn’t protect at all, but there are people who just get off on cutting willies, and them and their friends’re currently steering the ship. One recent study showed no protection of men of any colour, but you’d never guess that to read the way it was written.

Has anyone seen the eposode of Penn and Teller Bullshit about circumcision??Tears. As a woman I have no problem with uncut men, don’t know why some girls freak out about it, I’d have much more of a problem with a really small wang. just sayin…

Wow!
Was your omission deliberate?
The study found: “‘Overall, we found no association between circumcision status and HIV infection status’ among black or Hispanic MSM.”
MSM … men having sex with men.
The studies that show a 60% protective effect for male circumcision are for female to male HIV infection.
