We don’t watch MTV as frequently as a 13 year old girl trapped in the body of a “29” year-old should, so we were all whiplashed the other day when we walked by the television and heard Wycleaf Jean singin’ bout, “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” and “Diry South Texas.” Tejano, what? Turns out Wyclef’s latest single off his new album “Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs Of An Immigrant” is called, “Selena” and is a tribute to the fallen singer—who was actually a born and bred American. Anyway, looks like Brown is the new Black. Which is so much cooler than White, let’s face it. Also, Melissa Jimenez, (who?) sings with him. She’s a relative newcomer from the New Jersey area who’s working with Abie Quintanilla now as a result of the Wyclef single. Abie says she’s coming up. We shall see.

Yeah, this song has comprised 95% of my listening for the past week.

OMG The gig is up, all latinos and hispanics are going to know the origin of the word “America.” I guess being an American can mean everyone who lives in the Americas not the US, THE MADNESS THE MADNESS

I just want to know why east coast and west coast get the shout-out before Texas, since, y’know, Selena was from freakin’ Corpus Christi. Pandering to the masses…
