Well, Britney Spears’ shit has done hit the fan. She was rushed to a hospital this morning after holding her two young children hostage, refusing to turn them over to her ex, Kevin Federline’s, bodyguard. She is said to have been under the influence of some “unknown substance” and is undergoing a 72-hour psychiatric evaluation.

Oh, and Obama and Huckabee won the Iowa caucases. But, like. Yawn, right?

Update: No drugs or alcohol were found in Britney’s system. We blame pop rocks and soda.

Update II: Britney’s stay has been extended to 14 days and she has been put on suicide watch.
