Beyond The Barrio: Hershey Mints Look Like Drugs And Apparently This Is Upsetting To Somebody
25 January 2008, 11:15 AM. By Carlos Posas
Reports are in today that the Hershey Company has stopped production of their mints called, “Ice Breakers Pacs” because they too closely resemble street drugs. Which street drugs would those be? That crazy cocaine that leaves your breath so minty fresh? Personally, we see the resemblance as a selling point, but then we aren’t living in Hershey, PA. We are living in the blogosphere where dead celebrities mean cash in the bank and a photograph of the bootie of the day passes for sports news. Oops. Did we say that out loud?

Awkward, you guys.
And I thought that was a mini-condom, not drugs, when I first saw it. Maybe if they just took the extra effort to put a sticker that says “MINT” on it, there wouldn’t be so much confusion. It’s the simple things, people. You don’t have to redesign a package or pull a product.
