Heath Ledger, Actor, Dead at 28
Australian actor, Heath Ledger, 28, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment at 421 Broome Street in Soho.
At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger naked and unconscious body lying in the floor. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities. The police said they did not suspect foul play and said they found sleeping pills near the body.
The reason for his death is yet to be determined. An autopsy will be conduced on Wednesday.
The young actor struck notoriety for his performance as a gay cowboy in the film “Brokeback Mountain”, which gained him an Academy Award nomination.
He leaves behind a young daughter with former girlfriend Michelle Williams.

Oddly, I’m not sure I appreciate all of these updates. Perhaps it would be more prudent (and considerate) to just wait for all of the details to come out and then publish a complete article. Constantly updating to let people know he was found dead in Mary Kate Olsen’s—no wait! NOT Mary Kate Olsen’s—apartment is unnecessary. I get it. He’s dead. He was found naked. He had sleeping pills around him. Until the autopsy and toxicology report come back, I’m not sure there’s anything relevant you could say without being sensationalist.

huh? “updating the story?” since when are you guys UPI? if i want news i’ll go to CNN. or in this case, TMZ. besides, not sure how second hand info on a dead white dude from australia has anything to do w/ the usual snarky comments on fidel castro, eva longoria and all other things latino.
