Singer Christina Aguilera and Tom Cruise’s wife Kat(i)e Holmes will co-star in Humboldt Park, a family drama, with John Leguizamo and Freddy Rodriguez rounding out the cast:

The filming of family drama Humboldt Park begins next month - just weeks after 27-year-old Christina is due to give birth to her first child.

A source said: “(Holmes) is trying to prove she can do more than fluffy popcorn movies and teaming up with Aguilera shows she’s willing to take risks.”

It is Christina’s first major Hollywood role.

We’re not sure why anyone would pay to see Kat(i)e Holmes when you can see her for free on every website and entertainment news show anytime Tom Cruise so much as farts.
