Singer (?) Jennifer Lopez thinks she may just bow out of the spotlight once she gives birth to her piglets precious little twins:
“I do realize people want to know [about the pregnancy] because they’re interested, but this is the first time I’m going through this,” Lopez, 38, says of staying mum for so long. “I kind of feel like everybody knew anyway.”
So why the secrecy? The singer says husband Marc Anthony, 39, was a factor.
“He made me realize you can be an artist, and have credibility and success, without your life being on public display,” she says. “This is my experience and my husband’s experience, and we get to hold that for a little while.”
Marc Anthony is an artiste.
As for how her little ones will handle the media scrutiny, the star insists her kids “will be whatever we are… . Private when it comes to that stuff.”
Announcing that you’re pregnant at a concert is super subtle. And think of all the money you’ll save on birth announcement stationary. Or the time you’ll save not having to update your Facebook status to “So-and-so is pregnant. Maybe.”
Post birth, Lopez is still unsure of whether she’ll be a working mom.
“I don’t know — and I like that, because my life has been so planned for so many years,” she reveals. “Once I did the tour, I really just wanted to shut it down.”
We understand it’s hard for a woman to balance young children and a career and the decision to go back to work must be a difficult one, but we’ll go ahead and suggest that Jennifer should consider never, ever singing again. For the kids. You know.

as my friend kyra once said: she’s not a singer, she’s a recording artist.
these children should be called the messiahs. they’ve delivered us from more hideousness.

she’ll never retire, she’ll just continue to liz taylor-ify herself even with a brood of children.
