It seems there’s something that terrifies Jessica Alba more than giving birth: breastfeeding. According to the actress, giving up the titties is “the only thing that I’m paranoid about. More than giving birth.” We’ll see if she still believes that when she’s 22 hours into labor and wearing her placenta on her hair. According to El Universal, Jessica is also feeling very sensitive these days, gets angry easily, and cries at the drop of a hat. That pretty much describes a typical Friday morning here at Guanabee headquarters.

I’m sure Tom Cruise will take care of that whole placenta business, gladly.

That’s a very common hang up for a lot of women and I don’t think its fair to suggest that there’s something wrong with her character for being honest.

That’s pretty sad because ,you know, that’s what they are for.

You know, during pregnancy your areolas get darker,–redder if they’re pink, browner if they’re beige–and get bigger, like several times their size. It takes a while for them to go back to their shade and size. Your breasts also flatten out after your pregnancy/breastfeeding, they don’t stay that larger milk engorged size.

So given a culture’s concern with large, perky tits with small areolas, I find it hard to believe your average U.S. citizen/resident/… would not be afraid of the effects breastfeeding will have on one’s breasts.

    . . .just sayin’

You are right it is a cultural obsession, no argument there BUT

I just think the health of the child should take priority over that neverind that would be silly.

Don’t blame her unless you’ve done it yourself. Speaking from experience, (twice) she has good reason to fear breastfeeding. I am totally pro-breastfeeding, but I’m not gonna lie. The first 2 weeks are the most painful experience my boobs have ever had. For some reason after the 3rd or 4th week it gets a lot better. So no, I don’t think she’s wrong to worry!
