Fiorana, a clothing company based in Fort Worth, Texas, has come out with a line of “Latina Cut” jeans especially for your giant, round, rice-and-bean fed ass. Oh, you don’t have a big, round ass? Then shut up, mutant:
According to the company’s founder and president Mike Braden, “The Latina body is different in waist and hip structure.” The conclusion? “When wearing Anglo cut jeans, there is always a fit problem around the waist area.”
That’s true, it’s always so hard to… wait what? Every pair of jeans we have ever bought has been saggy at the ass. We know this because family members love to comment on how they can’t tell if we’re walking to or away from them.
Look, ok. Let’s please dispel this bullshit myth right now. There is no such thing as a “Latina body.” There just isn’t. Latinas come from too many places, too many ethnic and racial backgrounds to ever look a particular way. Every person is built differently and no marketing campaign will ever convince us otherwise. And, know what, flat-assed girls? We’re ok. People like us! We still look good! Everyone likes pancakes! Right? Right?!
I Might Not Be Latina Enough for One Texan Apparel Maker [Ad Age]

I have more of a flat, wide ass.

Yeah. I kind of suspected it was a fantasy that I was in any way genetically linked to J.Lo
If you were to take that badunkadunk she’s got and move it around to the front to make a stomach you could wear like an apron while having no ass whatsoever, you’d be looking at my nana and all of my tias, bless their menudo-fed souls.

I agree - there is no such thing as a “Latina body.” But it is sometimes hard to defend that. People think I’m being coy or sarcastic because genetics gave me the “curvy Latina” look with boobs and butt.

Ain’t “different” just normal, like grown women are supposed to be, not flat assed, anorexic, boy-like figures. The dominant culture bases fashion on the proportions of it’s women, and expects all the rest of us to fit into that shit. Speaking of which, go to awfulplasticsurgery.com and see an ass IMPLANT gone terribly wrong! LOL! It’s a HOOT!

I’m pretty sure a person can be flat-assed with a boylike figure and still be very much a woman.

I think it’s hella funny how la roncha y latin princess agree but then are like ” But I have ass and tits,” Who you trying to impress ladies?I’m pretty sure your asses are flattened out by your guanabee consumption. The online community still loves you, asses or not!

Funny cause i know EXACTLY what that designer is talking about! You know … that big gap in your jeans right in the small of your back that can be “fixed” with a tight ass belt! But then the dillemma of the crumpled jean sitting on your butt! So no, there is no typical latian figure …. but it is nice to see someone looking out for women with curves!

So what’s the big deal? I love my Fiorana Jeans. I put them on in the morning and they look just the same in the evening. I think it’s not the whole butt, thing. It’s the fit… But I figure something, someone always has to say something negative, so I guess I understand. I do want to let everyone know that they are the best jeans, I have had, well in a long time. They don’t fit me tight around my hips and then loose in my waist, which is my main problem. Just comfortable all over… I can’t wait till I buy more Jeans. And Yes I am a Chicana/ Latina, blessed with all the Latina Curves, don’t hate!!

This is to lalocalatina….I’m sure the curves look lovely but latino/hispanic is not a race..its an ethnic group made of different races….now there is nothing wrong with a group of people with at least a shared languages showing some solidarity but you know as well I do there is a big difference between a mexican for instance and a puerto rican or dominican person…different RACIAL dna and thus different body structures. Argentina for instance is 95 percent white and they are latinas as well in all they’re flat butt glory. Yeah J.LO has a big ass..her family is also puerto rico…which has has a bunch of african blood runnin through the veins of those people along with the food. You may be different but most chicanas are of mostly indigenous indian racial descent and they’re butts and hips are flat and square…just a racial characteristic of alot of native indian women
