A sales consultancy firm found that, when it comes to buying cars, many prospective Latino buyers just want to feel secure. Is that so wrong? Well, maybe if it’s in a Scion XB:
Strategic Vision found that Latinos look for an enhanced sense of security; blacks are more attracted to models that reflect the success in their lives and express their individuality; and Asian-Americans showed stronger interest in balanced, complete vehicle performance and style to match their lives.

Hispanic car buyers ranked the Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan the strongest model in the luxury segment, followed by Infiniti’s G25, and the Kia Sedona minivan, Ford Expedition and Scion Xb in the more affordable category.
He [Mr. Alexander] said marketers at Chrysler’s Dodge brand “can do more with Latino buyers” by dialing up security and safety messages in communications.

Who the fuck do these people survey? upper-lower-middle class Latinos in Miami suburbs? I don’t know anyone who drives any of those cars mentioned in the list. Shit, most people I know are safe enough in an Aerostar with thirteen people in it on no upholstery.

I prefer conversion vans
Around here (Oklahoma City), the latinos all drive Chevy Silverados and Fort F-Series trucks. Then again, so do the gringoes.
