Oxygen Network Brings Us “Husband For Hire.” Clearly, A Citizen Kane For A New Generation.
15 January 2008, 6:15 PM. By Guanabee Staff
“Husband for Hire,” a television movie brought to you the good folks at Oxygen, tells the age-old tale of an engaged woman hiring a (presumably) undocumented, Mexican day laborer to act as her husband, much to the chagrin of her father and his stereotypically blonde Barbie of a girlfriend. As if you didn’t climax at least three times reading that, hold tight to your chair and read the following names out loud, s-l-o-w-l-y:
Mark. Consuelos.
Nadine. Who cares.
Erik. Estrada.
And, last but least:
Mario. Lopez.
Nice, eh? Have a cigarette.

We’re finally seeing the fallout from the Writers’ Strike.
This looks like the best Latino-made-for-TV movie in the history of television. I have no doubt that it is caliente and spicy and the cast is muy bueno!
I’m going to watch it while I pop some jalapeƱo peppers and chug on tequila, it’ll make all the more caliente.
PS
If only all Mexican jornaleros looked that hot …
That is bleak!
Hey,
I came across your website from the bloggies where I was chosen as a random panelist, and just wanted to let you know that I chose your website out of 15-20 entries as the best Latin American blog.
Good luck!

My jaw is refusing return to its normal position from where it just dropped to the floor. All-star, A-list cast. Airtight, nay, genius premise. Lifetime, congratulations, girl, you made it!
oh. it’s on Oxygen. figures.
