PepsciCo Tries To Get Lard-Ass Mexican Children To Learn About Nutrition Through Video Games

You might think it’s only kids in the U.S. who have bigger tits than you do, but childhood obesity is a growing [Ed. note: Chortle.] epidemic in Mexico as well. In an effort to combat this problem, PepsiCo has developed a handheld game that aims to teach kids how to eat properly:
It seems that Mexican children are particularly obsessed with soda, perhaps because 80% of schools lack access to drinking water, and as a result have become increasingly overweight. Obesity rates in kids aged 5 to 11 have risen 40% since 2000.
PepsiCo, the folks who make the soda that the kids guzzle on a daily basis, have developed a tamagotchi-like game to help teach kids about the importance of balancing exercise with food consumption.
In the game, called Live Healthily, kids must care for a virtual creature called a nutrin, helping it decide what to eat and when to play. Visits to the doctor let kids know how well their nutrin is faring.
This sounds like a fun game to play while we’re busy lying idly in bed, scarfing down the bubulubus we keep hidden safe in our belly rolls.
Why not just replace the sugary drinks and salty snacks sold in schools with more healthy items? According to Jorge Meyer, PepsiCo’s VP of corporate affairs in Mexico, “Mexicans haven’t wanted to buy them.”
Our advice? Switch to coke.

His face is like a little butt! Eeeeeeeee!!!
Here’s an idea PepsiCo. Put all that money into digging those people some wells? Huh? What? Just a thought.
PepsiCo needs to think that plan over… a video game? really …they should give out jump ropes or something to get them active.
but It’s not only the sugary drinks …mexicans like to use lard to cook their foods.
so, lemme get this straight, they have dough for video games but not water?? Welcome to modern times.
@Janie - Yes! The Coke in the baby bottle!! Wtf????
Janie, I so thought the same exact thing!! Maybe they can make some PSAs educating parents not to put soda in the baby’s bottle. I see that all the time and it makes my skin crawl!!
