Tourists Like To Get Their Splosh On In Colombia

No trip to Colombia is complete without visiting a mud volcano and getting all covered with gloppy, thick, brown… stuff. And to think, some places charge extra for that sort of thing:

The goo is thick and rich, holding my body like hair gel and comfortably invading my pores with mineral goodness. It’s solid enough that I can lie back and support my head, and deep enough to stretch out in every direction and relax. Within seconds, I’m a mud creature, the exposed pink skin around my eyes resembling shortcake in a chocolate pie.

An attendant – one of the villagers who looks after the crater, collecting admission and offering mud massages or lagoon rinses for tips – spins me over and begins to exfoliate my skin by rubbing his hands up and down my back.

Well cover us in goo and slap us with with a handful of whipped cream. This could not possibly get any more fetishy.

The mud is refreshingly cool and covers my body like a second skin of black latex.

We stand corrected.

DUDE, totally the same experience I had. I was like WTF this woman stripped me! very awkward. but not as awkward as noticing my dad 20 feet away with shorts in hand trying to put his shorts back on underwater so as not to expose anyone. they need to warn people!

How come there are never any “villagers” in the US? Why do villagers seem to reside only in the Third World?
