This article just made me thirsty, good thing I happen to be in TJ, so getting one is just a few steps away. Seafood and beer is something of religious proportions here in TJ, so you’ll find the best. During spring and summer there’s some liqour stores that sell you a 6 pack of Tecates with ice in the bag, cut limes, and a baggy full of grain salt (or ?). There are places in TJ that solely specialize in clamatos with beer and other stuff like saladitos, cueritos (pork skins), olives, chopped clams, shrimp. They even have live norteño bands and dances in these little joints, it’s how big clamatos are here. In Hermosillo, they got drive thru 711 like stores that actually make it more convenient to drink and drive anf¿d hook it up at the window.

Miller chill tastses like old watered down champagne, so no thanks. Here in Houston, you can get big ass cans of premade Bud or Bud Light Micheladas……wow, that’s as close to hell as I ever want to come. They smell like balls…..and regrets.

Both the bud light chelada (which tastes like pizzavomit) and the real michelada (which tastes like teriyaki soaked beer) are disgusting.

looks like i’m late to the party, but i do love talking about beer.

i have tried both miller chill and bud light chelada… big fuckin mistake. the thing i hated the most was that they were sweet… now bud is saying they want to make more sweet beers, no chingen! i guess i’m def not their target audience.

on the topic of micheladas, about 2 years ago i would have said the best ones hands down are made in apatzingan, mich at any decent auto-lata… but judging from a few months ago, something has changed. there is a place in san jose, ca that makes decent ones… i think they call them chavellas.
