Mexican director Alejandro Monterverde and wife, “Doritos Lady” Ali Landry were on hand to pose with actor Eduardo Verastegui’s eyebrows at a benefit hosted by Bacardi in Los Angeles, benefitting The National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts.

Landry, Monteverde and Verastegui, by the way, recently collaborated on Bella , a movie about immigration, soccer, love and Eduardo Verastegui’s eyebrows.

And speaking of Los Angeles, that’s exactly where we’ll be in a matter of hours. So if any of you have suggestions regarding any relatively flat surface on which to pass to pass out inebriated, or, you know. Places to eat, visit, or look at half-interestedly, do let us know!

Where in LA are you gonna be, Guanabee? I suggest La Playita (3306 Lincoln Blvd). If you go to South Gate (my hood!) or anywhere near it (Huntington Park/Bell/Lynwood/Cudahy/Maywood/Bell Gardens), go to Tacos El Gavilan (http://tacoselgavilan.com/). King Taco on 3rd and the 710 is good.

WHAT YOU MUST DO: Have a bacon wrapped hot dog from a street vendor anywhere in Downtown LA. They’re illegal but oh-so good!
