If you listen closely to New York Times Film Critic A.O. Scott’s video review of Eva Longoria’s new turd Over Her Dead Body, you can actually hear the moment where his soul stands up for all that is good and decent in this world and tells his original stab at good manners to take a hike:

Over Her Dead Body is not bad, but it could have been a lot better. I think that the performances are kind of good, but [Ed. Note: Here it comes!] so much of it feels so tired and warmed over. I mean, how many times do we have to laugh at a woman getting mustard squirted on the front of her dress at a hot dog vendor? That’s just not a lot of imagination or insight or wit or freshness in this movie. I suppose I shouldn’t expect much better, but Over Her Dead Body, doesn’t really ever come alive.

So it’s not bad. Except for it totally sucks. Thanks, A.O.
