Facundo Monti, whom you may remember from Telemundo’s “Protagonistas de la Musica” (No? Ok.), recently got tattooed by none other than the object of our slowly waning crush, “L.A. Ink” star Kat Von D:
She invited me on the show to get a tattoo. The tat I got symbolizes my love for music, for my country, for women (which are the greatest source of inspiration for me).
What a coincidence! One of our tattoos symbolizes our love of hasty decisions and awkward silences following the question, “Matching tattoos?”
I was thinking of doing a 50s pin-up girl with a vintage microphone and the Argentinean flag. Who better than Kat to do that?
I was nervous because this was big, being on LA Ink and all. Oh, and getting the actual tattoo. It’s been a long journey to finally get my CD out and it kind of all culminated at that moment, when Kat was doing my arm.
Haha. “Doing.”
Kat was amazing. There were so many people around us filming and everything and she was so cool about it and nice. To top it off, like Celia Cruz said, “My English is not very good looking.” But we pulled it off.
I was so moved that I felt like I had to give her something of mine. I gave her one of my autographed guitars and sang her a song. Her boyfriend was there, who happens to be Roy Orbison’s son. So no pressure there, huh? The show will air sometime in April, I will keep you updated on when it comes out.
That’s sweet. There is nothing like trying to figure out what facial expression to use while someone is singing to you in front of other people. F-Mons’ (Haha. Mons.) tattoo came out looking pretty snazzy, no?
See the whole sordid affair on the season premiere of LA Ink tonight on TLC at 10 eastern.
