The 2008 Premios Los Nuestro aired last night and we can’t believe we were so busy having a life that we missed them completely. We took home a prize of our own though. HEY-O! And now, for some of the more interesting winners:

This is quite possible the tackiest, most useless, most embarrassing award show in our history. It’s a sham and the same people win every year, except for Jennifer Lopez, who apparently won Breakout Artist or Group. Never mind that she started recording in 1999 and had 2 singles in phonetic Spanish, Una Noche Mas & No Me Ames … And doesn’t Enriquetta Martin win some excellence award every single year?
Aren’t these awards owned by Televisa and Univision? It’s a sham and I refuse to watch too!!

@Yasuri: It could be a lot worse. You should thank your lucky stars that this particular awards show wasn’t produced by Telemundo. It would have been totally ghetto!
And I agree; Fergie actually looks good. One more observation: One of the girls in the video (check her out at 1:30) is a former Miss Latina World or Miss Latina Belleza (or something like that). She’s from Brownsville (or lived in Brownsville). She’s attractive, but looks better in pictures (yes, I’ve seen her in person).
Anyhoo, this girl is proof positive that not all RGV girls are butt ugly. But they’re no match for South Florida Latinas. (note: I live in Florida and I’m totally biased)

@GBAN….chicks from the valley just shouldn’t speak…..they say things like “badass” and use “super” as an adjective before every other word. Premios lo Nuestro was Super Bad Ass!!!
