Jennifer Lopez’s Dad Confirms She Is Pregnant With Twins, Sacrifices Chickens At Intersections

Jennifer Lopez’s father decided it has hight time he started receiving some publicity, too, and recently went on “Escándalo TV” to confirm his daughter’s womb is simply brimming with babies:
Yes, twins,” her dad David Lopez said in an interview on the Spanish-language show Escándalo TV, PEOPLE en Español reports. “The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it’s a hereditary thing.”
For David Lopez, the news means double the excitement.
“I’m very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years,” he said.
It strikes us as fairly odd to be proud of someone for procreating, no? “I’m so proud of the way my daughter’s old, shrively eggs finally proved themselves useful and grabbed on to that sperm in a way that is so real and relatable yet fabulous.”
And he already has gifts ready for his 38-year-old daughter’s babies.
“In Puerto Rico it’s custom to buy an azabache [black stone] bracelet for babies to protect them from the evil eye, it’s part of our culture,” he said.
Child, please. That is Santeria, which is not a Puerto Rican tradition; it is a religious practice. Either way, congrats to the happy Babalorisha and Iyalorisha.

how awesome you guys recognize the Yoruba connection!!! As soon as I heard speculation she was having twins I was like, yeah of course she is.

Mano figa and azabache are two entirely different things.
Azabache is a stone, the other is a symbol.
The very essene of azabache is to protect against evil eye, the “little fists” are something else - not even mentioned in the article.
Sorry, but no. The little azabache bracelets for babies, the azabache is carved into a little fist. The article didn’t have to mention it, I’ve seen a lot of them in my day. Look at them, you can buy them on ebay.
