Manolo Blahnik Thinks Hollywood Actresses Are Dreadful
Spanish shoe designer Manolo Blahnik, who we had always deemed at least partly responsible for the mind vomit that was “Sex and the City,” is actually kind of awesome. In an eccentric-Spanish-shoe-designer sort of way:
“Who are these dreadful women?” Manolo Blahnik screams in horror as he brandishes the latest edition of a smart society magazine. An assistant points out kindly that they are four of Hollywood’s top female stars. Looking pained, Blahnik turns away muttering “Dreadful, dreadful”, before adding, with a roll of his eyes heavenwards: “I’m totally confused. I don’t even know what taste is any more. Frankly, I can’t bear to buy magazines. I just get so upset.”
Then he set a maid on fire and rode away laughing on a magical dragon. Just ‘cause he can.

He looks frighteningly similar to my gay, Cuban Spanish professor. Only with less “literatura del caribe” and more “awesome.”

although i love my pair of manolo’s like no other, i think it sucks that he’s putting down the people who have helped blow him up into an icon. trust me, the whole “high society” and “hollywood scene” makes me sick too, i wouldnt go as far as to say it on record if they were my major customers.
