An “Ugly Betty” doll, featuring Betty wearing her “Guadalajara” serape, was unveiled at the 2008 American International Toy Fair in New York City. Cute and flavorful. She’ll never get to play Seven Minutes in Heaven at the Barbie mansion though.
And, yo, bash Barbie all you want for supposedly setting unattainable standards of beauty for young girls, but does Betty have a doctorate, a pilot’s license, an Olympic gold medal in gymnastics and a pony?
